DR ALISON MURRAY

Senior Lecturer, School of Education Teaching and Learning in Schools Research Group, University of Roehampton, UK

Dr Alison Murray initiated her teaching following completion of undergraduate, postgraduate and Masters of Science degrees within the UK. She then practiced as a teacher educator in Mexico, gaining valuable experience of research-informed practice before functioning as a physical educator across all levels in the US. Her observations and experiences encouraged the completion of a Doctorate of Philosophy (Curriculum & Instruction with Educational Psychology) at the University of New Mexico.


Alison has sought and attained ethical permission to collaborate with stakeholders across a wide array of studies, facilitating as lead and co-investigator. All have necessitated the deployment of ethical principles to support and quality assure identified pathways. Alison engages through an embodied research practice. This aims to maximise ethically principled inquiry by way of exploring advocacy, learning and teaching and emergent interconnectedness of factors and participants of interest.
